Course Overview
This course provides an in-depth examination of the security protocols and systems that constitute the core infrastructure of the modern Internet. Focusing on PKI, TLS, DNS, BGP, and email systems, which collectively form the Internet’s trust foundation, the course covers the design and operational principles of each system, as well as associated vulnerabilities and defense mechanisms. The course combines lecture-based instruction with a seminar format in which students read and present recent research papers.
